description

Ginger, lemon, lemongrass, and mint are great stuff and are traditionally used to detoxify and inhibit inflammation. But the reason we love this recipe is simply because that's how mom used to make it, and it's still one of our favorites.

ingredients

ginger

lemongrass

lemon peel

licorice

mint

tasting notes

aroma

Characteristic aroma of lemon and ginger, slightly vegetable.

appearance

Rich mixture of lemongrass, pieces of ginger, leaves and lemon peel. Golden-yellow liquor.

taste

The liquor has a full, bright and citrusy flavor. The taste of ginger is always balanced, and never overly spicy. Right behind it, we taste the lemon and fresh grass notes characteristic of lemongrass. A sensation of roundness that lingers in the mouth is the only indication that a small amount of licorice is present in the mix. The finish is clean, with a medium persistence and a fresh note of mint.

pairings

Long revered as a natural digestive in the US and Europe, in Asia it is instead used to accompany rich and savory dishes such as a green coconut curry or a shellfish soup.

preparation

250ml of fresh water (filtered if necessary)
water temperature 95̊ C
infusion time, 5 minutes
no caffeine
may be consumed anytime, day or night

notes:

The mixture of ginger and lemon is considered in many countries a real cure-all not only to help digestion or fight cold and flu symptoms, but also to reduce acidity, alleviate flatulence and control gastric reflux.

nutritional values
